Hello greatness we at Let’s Do It Right Events hope that you are well.  So now that you know a little about the company I thought it only right to share with you a little bit about myself.  One of the most important things that we can do as we partner on your event is get to know each other because the more comfortable you are with me the more amazing your event will be.  So let me first put your mind at ease with a little information on my experience.  So by meeting with me you are possibly talking to the most trained event planner you will ever meet.  I know everyone says they have been doing this the longest but few can say they have been planning since birth.  See I was born to a dynamic event planner that now serves on our team as the Creative Director, Fashion Show coordinator, and Modeling teacher.  So I have literally been in the event planning business even prior to birth.  Be sure to ask me to tell you about my birth story.  A major attribution that sets me a part from other planners is the fact that I am a second generation event planner with almost a lifetime of experience.

From the time that I could walk I remember debuting in fashion shows, modeling, dancing, and being a flower girl in weddings. In my teen years I interned and was later employed under the direction of my mother the owner of Top Shelf’s Productions.  As an employee with Top Shelf Productions I provided event planning services that included contracts with Black Opal, the United States Government Armed Forces, Fraternal Order of Police, Glen Ford the founder of “Rap It Up”, and many more.   While working with Top Shelf Productions Modeling School & Agency she became a lead young adult model and instructor.

In 1999 I went off to college and completed my matriculation at Mary Baldwin College in 2003 earning a B.A. in both Biology and Psychology.  While in college I was an active member of the Baldwin Program Board which allowed me the opportunity to develop and create social events for Mary Baldwin College.  While at Baldwin I also served on the Virginia Association of College and Universities Resident’s Hall (VACURH) as the National Conference Chairperson and Secretary.  This position allowed me to develop and plan conferences on the state level for VACURH.  In 2002 I   led a conference team to bring the state level conference to Mary Baldwin College.

Let’s Do It Right Events creates custom experiences with the goal of making memories to last a lifetime. She loves leaving clients with a wow factor that unfolds before their eyes during the event. Jawanda has planned weddings, baby showers, custom birthday parties, fashion shows, conferences, and corporate events. My goal and Let’s Do It Right Events goal is to take their client’s visions and ideas and make them a reality. We take each event from ordinary to extraordinary.
